by Spyder on Apr.21, 2012, under Wind Technician
Wind, it is a crazy industry so crazy that it has been 2 months at least since I have any time at all to post anything to my blog. I have been still traveling all around North Dakota finishing up projects here and there; however I am finally almost complete!!!
I will officially be a traveling wind technician as of the end of this week! I get to take a few months off to prepare myself for my next step in my career and then off to where ever the wind takes me (actually where ever the company sends me haha).
There has been some people posting in the forum section of the website which is kind of exciting. If you are looking for infomation about certain wind technician schools check it out you might find some of the new posts interesting. Anyways like always I am still checking the website occasionally and will be around if you guys have any questions shoot me an email or write something in the forums. I try and respond as soon as I have time!!

Well hello my fellow wind technicians!!
I have something a little off topic of this blog to post today! I have a very close friend that is a writer/director and he has just had his first short story published and I thought I would help him out by getting him a little more traffic to the site where it was published! Click here for the story! It’s a very interesting short story and I look forward to more! Lets get some feedback and here what your thoughts on the story are?
Other news about my career as a wind technician and to keep my fellow wind technicians in the loop. We have been quite busy around here with 2 sites coming out of warranty and doing punch list items. Whats a punch list you might ask? Well for you that don’t know it’s a list of items that need to be fixed that the customer has submitted to us and needs to be completed before the warranty period is up. Other then that it’s been pretty slow.
I have done a little traveling to assist at other sites, but really haven’t had anything exciting to talk about. Lets recap on all the places I have been since I started this job:
- Started out by going to Illinois for safety training
- Then headed to North Dakota to my official site that I would be stationed at for the next 2 years
- Then went to New York for training a few times
- After that I traveled around North Dakota (I think I have been to every corner)
- Then went to Florida.
So those are pretty much all the places I have been so far it was an awful great experience and I hope to have much more!!
I feel like the activity on the website picked up for awhile, but then died off again. If you wind technicians have any suggestions that might get people more active please inform me and I will try my hardest to make it happen!
